Michael Ortiz is the operational backbone of Optima Ventures, a role born from his extensive background in scaling high-growth tech companies. Prior to joining Optima, Michael was a senior executive at a number of successful startups, where he was responsible for architecting and optimizing the internal systems that supported rapid expansion. He has a deep, almost instinctual understanding of how to translate a founder's vision into a clear, repeatable, and scalable operational blueprint.

As the Chief Operating Officer, Michael’s primary mission is to de-risk our portfolio companies. He works directly with founders to streamline their go-to-market strategies, optimize sales funnels, and build the scalable processes needed to handle hyper-growth without breaking. His work is invaluable because it frees founders from operational complexities, allowing them to focus on what matters most: product innovation and market leadership. Michael is a firm believer that great technology is only as strong as the operational foundation it's built upon.
